Facilities


The Faculty provides modern education facilities and various laboratories, which enable students to expand their theoretical knowledge and gain experience. Radar Navigation Simulator, Navigational Aids Simulator, GMDSS Simulator, Survival at Sea Laboratory, Basic Seamanship Laboratory, Basic Navigation Laboratory, and Electronic Communications Laboratory and Marine Engineering Laboratories are currently established. Computer laboratories are established both at the Tınaztepe and Urla Campuses.

In order to improve students’ practical skills, our faculty has 28 laboratories, simulators and training centers in total, excluding classrooms in Tınaztepe and Urla units, and has international maritime education standards in the field of higher education within the scope of the authority received from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Maritime Affairs. Although some of these laboratories, simulators and workshops are used in common, they are detailed below on the basis of our Faculty departments.
