2000-2001 School of Maritime Business and Management is granted the ISO 9002 Quality Management System Certificate by Italian Naval Registry (RINA) and Italian Certification of Quality Systems

2000-2001 PhD Programme has started

2000-2001 School of Maritime Business and Management has become the member of International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU)

2006-2007 12 students were admitted to the Depertment of Marine Engineering

2009         The School has been transformed into “Maritime Faculty” with the publication in the Official Gazette dated 31.10.2009 numbered 2009/15486.

06.01.2010 Higher Education Council of Turkey has decided to transform the title of the Department of Nautical Science into “Department of Marine Transportation Engineering”.
